Free surf wax & Stickers for new members!

We just received a shipment of cold wax from our friends over at Waxy Wax.  This stuff is awesome, plus its COLD wax, so it'll be sticky in the cold OC waters.   The stickers are 3.5"x3.5" (Blackies, The Wedge or Pier Bowl are the first surf spots stickers we're making)

How to get a couple bars of Wax or Stickers?

We mentioned that we'll be giving away some pretty sweet prizes to our community members.  Its about time we start the next enter to win contest!

Fall Sunset Photo Contest:  Win a Pair of Beach Cruisers!!!

In honor of Fall and long walks on the beach, we're hosting a "Fall Sunset Photo Contest" and giving away a pair, (yes we said a Pair!) of brand new Beach Cruisers from Phat Cycles to one lucky myOC community member!

All you have to do is join our new myoc community, upload one of your favorite sunset shots and you could win one Beach Cruiser for yourself and one for your significant other.   We know you probably have 50 moody sunset photos on your mobile phone already..   Specifically, we'll be giving away One  "Tribal" Men's Beach Cruiser and One "Zoe" Women's Beach Cruiser to one lucky winner.

Plus:  We'll also NOW be publishing the winning sunset photo in OC Outdoors section of the OC Register newspaper!

All you have to do is follow a few easy steps:

How do we chose a winner?

We'll pick our 1 favorite sunset photo that was uploaded between October 20th and 12:00PM PST November 30th, 2011 in the myoc community.  We'll give extra consideration to your sunset photos that were taken in Orange County or Southern California, but feel free to upload your best shot, even if you were on vacation somewhere.

Yes, you can upload as many photos as you'd like.  Feel free to comment on other members photos and share your thoughts in the new community

Photo file size must be under 2MB

How are we choosing a winner?

We have a team of judges at orangecounty.com and Phat Cycles who will be picking our 1 favorite photo.

Photo resolution and size must be large enough for us to run in print at the appropriate resolution. (800pixels wide)

By signing up for the myoc community and entering this contest "Fall Sunset Photo Contest", you agree that you would like to receive our newsletter and updates from orangecounty.com and it's partners about future giveaways and weekly events.  Winner must be a member in good standing of the myoc community (my.orangecounty.com).  Photo must be uploaded between October 20th, 2011 and 12:00PM PST November 30th, 2011 in the myoc community.  Odd's of winning will depend on the number of entries.

We created this community site for all of you to publish your own photos, videos and blogs about what you're doing in OC.

1. Create your profile  (You must use your Facebook account to login. Click the login button to the right)
2. Invite all your facebook friends
3. Upload photos and videos (Click on the photo or video menu tab above)
4. And above all, get recognized for your participation and earn points

During the Month of October, Wahoo’s Fish Taco is on board to give away Free Meal coupons to 10 random myoc members and free taco coupons to 50 random myoc members.  We’ll pick random winners to receive the coupons at the end of October.

What can you win / earn by contributing to this site?

• Every month we'll have a bunch of prizes to give away to our contributing members.  We'll change the tasks you'll need to complete, but you'll be earning points for all of your community activities.  Trust us, these prizes will be awesome!

How do I create a profile on the site?

• You must use a facebook profile to identify yourself, then create a profile on the "mypage" tab

How can I upload multiple photos at once?

• Click on the "photos" tab at the top, create a new album or add photos to a current album, then use click "add another photo"

How can I create / edit blog posts?

• After you login to your account,  click on the "My Blogs" link in the upper right window by the Welcome to myOC window
